$45.49
The Fire Light Tidbit® Panicle Hydrangea is a revolution in garden design, offering the massive floral impact of traditional panicle hydrangeas in a tiny, tidy package. This award-winning dwarf shrub is perfect for urban gardens, low borders, and decorative patio containers. Its thick, sturdy stems ensure the heavy mophead blooms stay upright and prominent. Starting as a crisp, lime-tinted white in mid-summer, the flowers transition into a stunning palette of raspberry and dragon fruit pink as the temperatures cool, often accompanied by unexpected orange and burgundy autumn foliage.

Plant Care
Will this plant thrive in your climate?
Make sure you live within USDA Zones 3-8 by checking our Grow Zone Guide.
Select a site with well-drained soil. Dig a hole twice as wide as the root ball but no deeper. In southern climates, provide afternoon shade to prevent leaf scorch. Space plants 3 feet apart to ensure proper air circulation and prevent powdery mildew.
Prune in late winter or early spring before new growth appears. Cut the main branches back by about one-third of their total height to encourage strong new stems and a profusion of large blooms, as this variety flowers on "new wood."
Apply a granular, slow-release fertilizer formulated for woody plants (like a rose fertilizer) once in early spring. Avoid over-fertilizing, as panicle hydrangeas are generally light feeders and excessive nitrogen can reduce flowering.
Apply a 2-3 inch layer of organic mulch around the base in late fall to insulate the roots. While extremely cold-hardy, container-grown plants should be moved to a sheltered area or wrapped in burlap if temperatures drop significantly below zero.
